Unusually for me, I have recently been waking up with a clear sense of what I had just been dreaming. Last night, I dreamed that I was watching a documentary about the making of a film produced around 1970. Eventually, I had become part of the grainy footage of that documentary, and other participants in it kept mistaking me for one of the actors in the original film. I remember hoping that I was one of the actors I liked best in the film. Everything was rainy and gray in both the film and the documentary, and I followed cameramen along a muddy slope by a river or a railroad track. (Andrew Shields, #111Words, 27 September 2026)
