On learning of the death of Jürgen Habermas (1929-2026), I found a file on my computer, last opened in 1995, with 53 pages of quotations and notes from my reading of his 1962 book "Strukturwandel der Öffentlichkeit". The file's format was so out of date I could only open it with Text Edit. Here's one of my notes to a passage from the book, a paraphrase from the author's 1990 foreword: "Women's appeal for admittance to the public sphere on an equal basis as a matter of universalizing civil rights according to the premises of democracy threatens the entire structure by questioning the bracketing off of the private from the public."
