It doesn't matter what he says:
it's never ever true.
He'll set a deadline of two weeks
for what he plans to do—

"the greatest thing you'll ever see"—
and then a month will pass.
When someone asks, he'll just insist,
"I do not like your sass.

Why can't you ever talk about
the awesome things I've done?
Why can no-one comprehend
that I'm the only one

who knows all that there is to know
about the world today?"
But when he's asked a followup,
"I do not know," he'll say.

It doesn't matter what he says:
it's never ever true.
Why didn't someone tell him not
to leave Fifth Avenue?
