When I first heard about the total eclipse on 12 August 2026, I wanted to see it in Iceland, which my family and I have already visited twice (in 2015 and 2017). But now my sister Sara and I are planning an eclipse trip to northern Spain. I have only been in Spain once before (in Valencia for a Spanish school in July 2023). So I am excited to visit Madrid, go to the eclipse, visit Bilbao, meet up with my niece Melina at her surfing camp near Santander, and then go back to Madrid again before returning to Switzerland.
