Today, I've been listening to The Grateful Dead's concert at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena on 16 December 1994. This was the last of the five Dead shows where saxophonist Branford Marsalis sat in. The first was at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island on 29 March 1990; the complete recording has been released as "Wake Up To Find Out". The second was at Oakland Coliseum Arena on 31 December 1990. The third was at Madison Square Garden on 10 September 1991. The fourth was at Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena on 10 December 1993. All five shows are full of rich interaction between Marsalis and the members of the Dead. (Andrew Shields, #111Words, 19 May 2026)
