When I accidentally deleted the music library in my Music app on my Macbook yesterday, I was worried that my whole music collection was gone, but I was then able to copy the files back into the app. So all I lost was the record of my listening for the last eight years or so. My entire collection counts as having been added on 18 April 2026, and at first, nothing was "recently played". So now I'm using shuffle to pick out what to play. First, I listened to Simon and Garfunkel's "Sounds of Silence", then to Richard Strauss's "Elektra" (with Daniel Barenboim), then to Phil Lesh's "There And Back Again".
